The Woodhams Team

Covering all services in-house does not mean we’re ‘Jacks of all trades’. In fact Woodhams comprises a number of distinct departments, each with their own specialist teams. We have builders, engineers, electricians, plumbers, roofers… the list goes on. Many of our staff have a wealth of experience managing their own businesses prior to joining Woodhams, and all are trained, certified and committed to their particular area of expertise. This allows Woodhams to be efficient and agile, delivering your project on spec with time and budget to spare.

We also invest heavily in the training and continuing professional development of our employees. Whether it’s brushing up on health and safety regulations and guidance or completing National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), we ensure that the Woodhams workforce is at the forefront of industry developments and the highest levels of proficiency. Woodhams Group History

Woodhams Group was founded in the 1960s by Brian Arthur Woodhams as a general building sole proprietorship. Brian, a carpenter by trade, passed the business to his son, Gareth Woodhams, who is now Managing Director. Gareth began his career as a mechanical engineer for the Royal Navy, before following in his father’s footsteps by qualifying as a carpenter and joiner. Now a third generation of Woodhams has come into the fold, with Gareth’s sons helping him build the business into what it is today: a reputable and progressive force in the construction industry.

Woodhams has grown from an acorn into an oak, adapting to changing industry conditions and branching into the commercial and water services sectors. Despite this, our ethos remains the same: exceptional craftsmanship, value for money and good, old-fashioned hard work are the ingredients for a successful project and a happy client.
