As a Tier 2 MEICA subcontractor, Woodhams delivers complete mechanical installation packages for Tier 1 framework partners and water companies. Our teams install and modify process pipework, pumping equipment and valves on live treatment works, with the pipe supports and access steelwork fabricated in our own workshop so the whole package is delivered by one team.
Almost every water site we work on stays in service while we are there. Our installation teams plan and sequence work around live process flows, temporary pumping, low-flow windows and agreed outage periods, so that treatment continuity, Flow to Full Treatment and discharge consent compliance are protected throughout. Where sites include hazardous areas, our teams are experienced in MEICA installation within ATEX zones, including sludge treatment centres.
All site staff hold NVQ and CSCS qualifications, and every package is run by a dedicated Woodhams project manager with clear weekly reporting to the client and site operations teams.
Where a scheme needs it, we take responsibility from survey and condition assessment through detailed design to WIMES, workshop fabrication and site installation. Manufacturing pipe spools, supports, distribution chambers and pump skids off-site at our Rotherwick facility reduces time spent on congested live sites, cuts work at height and gives clients far greater programme certainty.
We have delivered pipework and pump packages on schemes for Southern Water, Thames Water, Wessex Water, Severn Trent and Affinity Water, working alongside Tier 1 contractors and joint ventures including 4Delivery, Galliford Try and the CMDP+ joint venture on the Southern Water AMP8 framework.
